Brendan Steacy ASC, CSC Pushes the Limit on "Painkiller" With ZEISS Supreme Primes
Canadian cinematographer Brendan Steacy, ASC, CSC, has been twice nominated for Best Cinematography at the Canadian Screen Awards as well as three-times nominated for Best Cinematography by the ASC. His recent initiation into the ASC precipitated growing anticipation for the Peter Berg drama, "Painkiller." Steacy's creativity comes to the fore as he honors Berg's unique narrative style which focuses on uplifting performance. Aaron McLisky, ACS On Making the Horror Movie "Talk To Me"
Brothers Danny and Michael Philippou, aka RackaRacka on YouTube, were already seasoned directors when they made their first feature film in their hometown Adelaide, South Australia. After a decade online and 1.5 billion views, they felt like challenging themselves with this horror movie. It was time to move on from spectacular stunts and explosions to more intimate settings and emotions, whilst adopting the codes of genre cinema. Director of Photography, Aaron McLisky, ACS kindly took us through the making of "Talk To Me", which he shot with ZEISS Supreme Prime lenses.
