It's that time of year again! The 24th Annual Valley Festival is fast approaching and we look forward to seeing you 8-1-8 (August 1-8) in the (818). Tickets are on sale now.
Cool down with a screening or two, meet filmmakers from all over the world, and enjoy the world's best movie popcorn -- all in the comfort of an air-conditioned theatre.
With the future of the Laemmle NoHo7 uncertain, this may be VFF's final festival in North Hollywood. We ask that you continue to support your local art house theatres and film festivals, including the 24th Annual Valley Film Festival.

A LITTLE FAMILY DRAMA

After breaking into a supposedly abandoned house, a "family" of homeless teenagers find themselves torn apart after a brutal discovery is made.

Separated by a shipwreck when they were babies, two sets of identical twins get mixed up in each other's lives over the course of a day. Adapted from Shakespeare's THE COMEDY OF ERRORS and re-imagined as an early 1960's technicolor musical comedy.

When a young couple abducts Alisha, she is forced to consider the possibility that she may not be who she thinks she is. Presented in reverse chronology, COGNITIVE is a psychological thriller that keeps the audience guessing until the final frame.
RAY OF HOPE

Rathika Sitsabaiesan, a former Canadian Member of Parliament, who fled the armed conflict in Sri Lanka with her Tamil family as a five-year-old child. The anguish and tales of the conflict drove Rathika's advocacy. In 2013, her visit to Sri Lanka rekindled her own traumatic memories, as she was surveilled by the very government accountable for widespread suffering.
STAKES IS HIGH

Much like TAXI DRIVER was a reflection of post-Vietnam America, STAKES IS HIGH captures America right now. Will Goldin is the everyman of this moment, living off the fumes of a dream, turning to the gig economy with hopes of a better future only to find a rat race to the bottom.
THE GHOST TRAP

Based on the novel by K. Stephen, the Ghost Trap is the haunting story of Jamie Eugley, a young lobsterman struggling with the grinding responsibilities of a head-injured fiancé and mounting trap wars in a small Maine lobstering community.

Two high school friends, prone to playing tricks on their friends, pull off one last prank before graduation that has grim consequences for their relationship. A horror story about keeping in touch with your childhood friends.
