As one of the top industries in the state, the film industry provides jobs - and lots of them! In 2021, California estimated 860,000 jobs related to film production throughout the state. There is no doubt that the industry is putting a lot of people to work!
We are excited to report year to date we have been able to facilitate 200 local hires and our community has reaped more than $2.8 million of economic impact from the productions that have chosen our region as a filming destination. Even better news is we have more opportunities for local cast and crew below along with a spotlight on local Director of Photography and Cinematographer Kevin Kewley, upcoming location needs, and location inspiration from our region.
