Chad is just embarking on his adventures in the film industry, but he has been pouring into this dream for years. After graduating with a degree in Digital Cinema from Southern Oregon University he returned to his home-town of Mt. Shasta, CA to work in his parent's restaurant.
One evening in early 2022, he began a conversation with a customer that would end up giving him the opportunity to begin his career! When the director returned to the area to begin filming another project, he reconnected with Chad to offer him a position on set as a production assistant. Within a short time, Chad was promoted to Key PA on the film Peter Five Eight starring Kevin Spacey and Rebecca DeMornay.
He made some great connections which opened doors for him to move towards his goal of becoming a 1st AD.
Chad credits the family restaurant, which equipped him with the skills to thrive in the fast-paced action that can be found on set. He believes what makes the North State appealing is the natural beauty the area offers and loves that the Film Commission is helping provide opportunities to create industry connections in this region.
