The TMZ is centered at the intersection of Beverly Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard. This intersection was once the headquarters of the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). Founded as the Association of Motion Picture Producers (AMPP) in 1924, the AMPTP is the key trade association for major film and television producers that officially handles the entertainment industry's collective bargaining.
