STEVE STAFFORD

Steve Stafford is a revered pilot in the film industry. As a former Film and Television Director / DP, combined with over with 12,000 hours of helicopter and fixed wing time, Steve brings an extremely unique set of skills to each film set he flies on. He is approved by all major Studio Risk Management departments, has his own approved Risk Assessment and Mitigation Manual (SMS) and is often asked to lecture on aviation safety in films. He attends factory safety training every six months on each helicopter, fixed wing and jet aircraft he flies Additionally, he is one of the few helicopter pilots approved by the FAA to conduct Fast Rope insertion and extraction operations using the FBI's extending fast rope system. Based at Camarillo Airport, Steve has flown on film projects all over the world.

Studio Wings now has offices and equipment at the Santa Fe, NM Airport and is a Qualified New Mexico Vendor, serving all the New Mexico Film Communities including Las Cruses in the South, Albuqueque to the West and Taos / Las Vegas to the North!
