Over the last 10 months, LA's Blue Moon Cleaning has partnered with a few major LA feature films to provide cleaning and restoration services for their LA filming locations. Since last year's actor's strike, the company has partnered with an average 1 new feature film per quarter. Could this represent the jump in LA's feature film activity we've all been waiting for? "It's nice to see feature films coming back to LA", said Walter Rubio, Blue Moon's quality assurance supervisor. One of Blue Moon's feature film clients filmed for 10 to 15 weeks in a densely-populated section of LA's West Adams neighborhood. Everything was spread out over a huge footprint comprising a collection of apartment buildings, outdoor courtyards, back alleys, sidewalks, streets, yards, and more. It was one of the largest neighborhood footprints for which Blue Moon has ever cleaned for a feature film. Exterior areas required trash and debris removal, animal waste cleanup, steam pressurewashing, and landscaping. Interior apartment walls and ceilings required scrubbing, antifungal treatments, pest control, and odor removal. During prep, Blue Moon dispatched a large crew of professional deep cleaners to perform the initial revitalization. During shoot days, Blue Moon maintained the cleanliness of filming sets and surrounding areas. When filming was done, Blue Moon provided a final strike cleaning that restored beauty and charm to this historic LA neighborhood.
